Kangarua

Terms of use

Short and in plain language: what you may expect from Kangarua, and what you may not. By using the site you agree to this.

The scanner and the send test are informational

The scanner shows what is published in DNS at the moment of the check; the send test judges one message the way a receiver would. Both are a snapshot and an estimate, not a guarantee that your mail arrives everywhere or that nobody can abuse your name. What you do with the result is your decision — when in doubt, have your web developer or IT partner look with you.

DNS changes: only at your request, and you stay in charge

We never change anything on our own initiative, and we have no access to your DNS. A record is set only when you explicitly ask for it, through a confirmation at your own DNS provider: you see there exactly what changes before you confirm, and you can cancel up to that moment. You set every other record from our plan yourself, with the value we show.

Responsibility for your domain stays with you: you confirm the change, and you (or your IT partner) are best placed to check afterwards that everything works as expected. If in doubt, email help@kangarua.net first rather than clicking.

Liability

We build this carefully, but a free service from a one-person business cannot be an obligation of result. Our liability is limited to what the law allows; we are not liable for indirect damage such as lost revenue or lost time. What the law does not allow to be excluded — such as intent or gross negligence — of course still applies.

Governing law

Belgian law applies to these terms. Disputes belong before the Belgian courts.
